THAILAND'S DYNAMIC DUO WIN GOLFSIXES AT OITAVOS DUNES

Thailand's dynamic duo of Phachara Khongwatmai and Thongchai Jaidee got their hands on the GolfSixes Cascais trophy after seeing off English pair Tom Lewis and Paul Waring in Saturday's thrilling final.

Play-off drama

When six holes could not separate England and Thailand in the final, a nearest the pin play-off was required to decide who would be going home with the trophy. Age is just a number

There may be almost 30 years between Khongwatmai and Jaidee but that did not stop the Thai pair from forming a perfect partnership in Portugal. The duo, who topped Group B before beating Scotland, Spain and England on Saturday, took it in turns to produce memorable moments on their way to victory. Jaidee, 49, made the first hole-in-one in GolfSixes Cascais history to knock out defending champions Ireland on a dramatic first day, while 20-year-old Khongwatmai had the final say, with his tee shot earning his country the trophy.
