The iconic Michlifen Resort & Golf is now recognised as Morocco’s best golf property, following Golf World’s recently published Top 100 World Resorts ranking.
Golf World’s Top 100 World Resorts is a comprehensive ranking of the Best Golf Resorts around the globe. An extensive course review panel and a time-proven judging methodology enables Golf World’s Top 100 rankings to identify the best-in-class golf experiences.
The IMG managed Michlifen Golf & Country Club is located in the historic mountain town of Ifrane, a 45 minute drive from the historic city of Fez. At an altitude of 1,650 metres, the 18 hole, Par 72 layout designed by 18-time Major champion Jack Nicklaus, is set on a stunning natural site in the Ifrane National Park overlooking the Atlas Mountains and expansive forests of cedar and oak trees.
The golf course forms part of the iconic Michlifen Resort & Golf, one of the finest and most exclusive spa and alpine retreats in the region. The 5 star hotel features 71 rooms, a luxury spa, world class dining and offers the ultimate golf & leisure destination. The resort was also recognised as Morocco’s Best Golf Hotel in 2019 and 2021 by the World Golf Awards.
Russell Hannah, Senior Director at IMG Golf Course Services commented: “We feel extremely proud to see Michlifen included in such a prestigious global ranking. It’s an amazing achievement, especially as the course only opened in 2018 and has already been recognised several times as one of the best golfing experiences not only in North Africa, but all around the world.”
