The prestigious Real Club de Golf El Prat, a 10-time host of the Spanish Open, is celebrating a new honour after being chosen to host the conclusion of the 2018 LET Access Series’ (LETAS) inaugural Santander Golf Tour.
Spain’s famous venue situated just outside the Catalan capital Barcelona, which was granted royal status by King Alfonso XIII, will stage the thrilling climax to the 2018 Santander Tour seasonfrom November 8-10.
A 78-strong field will battle it out in the ninth year of the LET Access Series, with the top five players on the 2018 LETAS Order of Merit earning membership of the Ladies European Tour for the 2019 season, as well as 15 spots for the final stage of Lalla Aicha Tour School.
El Prat is also set to hand amateur golfers the chance to experience what it feels like to be a professional thanks to the inaugural Emerald Golf Tour when they host a round this month (September).
The innovative tournament, which started at the end of June and is played at three prestigious courses across Spain by 72 players, has prizes worth more than €400,000 up for grabs.
Emerald Golf Tour’s aim is to give amateur golfers experience of playing in a professional golf circuit – with one 18-hole round also being played at Santander Golf, Madrid (June 29 and 30), El Prat (September 15 and 16) and Real Club Sevilla (December 1 and 2).
