IMG announced that Ayla Golf Club has joined the world’s leading golf network.

 

Ayla is a game-changing waterfront development situated along Jordan’s Red Sea coast. Artistically sculpted out of the coastal desert landscape, Ayla has added an additional 17 kilometres of waterfront to the Aqaba coastline.

 

More than 800,000 square metres of rolling green fairways cascade out against Aqaba’s mountainous backdrop, forming the Kingdom’s first championship golf course. The property features an 18-hole course and a nine-hole fully floodlit academy course. Designed by Greg Norman, the layout was carefully developed with Jordan’s unique ecology in mind, allowing golfers to enjoy a lush and eco-friendly experience.

 

Created in an architectural style that mimics the rolling green fairways of the course, the Ayla Golf Club features a comprehensive array of facilities including a dedicated golf academy clubhouse, swing studio, putting studio, meeting room, gourmet restaurant and luxurious changing facilities.

 

Included on Golf Digest’s Top 10 Middle East ranking in 2020, Ayla hosted the Jordan Mixed Open last year. This was the world’s first ever mixed event with three separate tours, each represented by 41 players.
