Walton Heath is one of the world’s most famous and prestigious clubs and site of nearly 90 major amateur and professional championships. The Old Course which opened in 1904 plays to a length of 7,462 yards from the Championship tees is a classic heathland layout, and is ranked in the world’s top 100 courses. One of the very best tests of inland golf, Walton Heath has the unique distinction of being the only English club to have had a reigning monarch as Captain, when the Prince of Wales became King during his captaincy in 1935/36.
