Overview

Walton Heath is one of the world’s most famous and prestigious clubs and site of nearly 90 major amateur and professional championships. Located in Surrey 20 miles South of London, this wonderful 36-hole facility has hosted five European Opens, The Ryder Cup in 1981, the Senior Open Championship and many more prestigious events. 


The Old Course which opened in 1904 plays to a length of 7,462 yards from the Championship tees is a classic heathland layout, and is ranked in the world’s top 100 courses. The New Course which has the same heathland setting as the Old course is 7,165 from the Championship tees and is ranked in the UK’s top 50 golf courses.

One of the very best tests of inland golf, Walton Heath has the unique distinction of being the only English club to have had a reigning monarch as Captain, when the Prince of Wales became King during his captaincy in 1935/36. A beautiful and historic clubhouse adds to the outstanding golf experience at Walton Heath.
