Royal Bled’s rebirth as one of Europe’s iconic destinations received a further boost as Golf World Magazine recognised it as one of its ultimate Golfing experiences in 2017.

Originally constructed in 1937 and re-designed by Donald Harradine in 1972, the Kings Course has undergone an extensive renovation that has seen the course extended to Championship length with redesigned and rebuilt greens, tees and bunkers, ten new water features and state-of-the-art irrigation system. Extensive new practice facilities have also been added as well as the addition of 2 new performance studios, featuring the latest club-fitting and swing analysis software and hi-tech simulator experience.

The historic Kings Clubhouse which dates back to 1938 and is under national protection, has also been extensively but carefully renovated, returning it to the glory of its former days. 10 new luxurious rooms, all with private terraces overlooking the Alps and golf course, are now available within the Clubhouse, further reinforcing its status as one of Europe’s most desirable golfing destinations.

Following its re-opening in 2017, the course instantly regained its place within the coveted Golf World Top 100 rankings and with this latest recognition there can be no doubt it has returned to its rightful place as one of continental Europe’s finest golfing destinations. In its exclusive review, Golf World described the Club as both “spellbinding” and “glorious” with “world class accommodation and food” to match.
